JUST FOUND YOUR WEBSITE. DANZON RUNS DEEP IN MY FAMILY WHICH IS FROM MEXICO BUT HAS FRENCH ROOTS. I REMEMBER MY PATERNAL GRANDMOTHER ALWAYS TELLING ME OF THE GREAT BALL AND DANCES SHE ATTENDE AS A YOUNG GIRL AND DANCING HER FAVORITE 'THE DANZON'. WILL YOUR ORQUESTA EVER BE IN THE SO. CALIFORNIA AREA IN THE NEAR FUTURE? I SURE HOPE SO!! THANK YOU AND "QUE VIVA EL DANZON"!!

Hi Victor, welcome to our website. The Orquesta recently played in Hollywood, at Ford Theatre, last summer, they are playing in San Francisco this month, and there are more performances in planning stages, so keep checking the site for updates of the schedule.

I can tell you, the new version of the group is really good, they swing really well, Carlos Caro is a very good percussionist, and both singers are also very good.

You can see a photo gallery of a recent peformance, that was a good one by the way.

I'll see if I can get some Orquesta members to give you some more information in the next few days, thanks for stopping by.

Hi Victor,

Welcome! We actually played at the Ford Amphitheater the last two summers. So far, we don't have any shows planned for So Cal, but you might drop an email as soon as possible to Rodri Entertainment (www.rodri.com), the agency that presented those shows, and ask them to bring us back next summer. The attendance last summer was better than 2003, so if they know there's interest, there's a better chancel they'll book us again. Otherwise, get on our email list to be notified of upcoming performances, and take a vacation in the Bay Area to catch a show.
